Lucy receiving her bat from Chairman, Nick Rivett
At pre-season nets last weekend, ODCC chairman Nick Rivett presented Lucy Thomas with a bat to celebrate her score of 101 for Oxford Downs U13 girls in the Lady Taverners competition last season. This is the first century to be scored by any Oxfordshire girl in this competition and we believe the first in this competition overall.
Nick commented: “This was an exceptional performance, which further highlights the strength in our Junior section – both boys and girls. A credit to our coaching setup and I look forward to many of them pushing through into Senior cricket this season.”
