It was great to see a young side travel to Shipton and when we arrived we noticed that they had two first team players playing, so after we had bowled them out for 172 we felt we may have been in with a chance, a dropped catch at a critical stage of the game meant we could have been chasing a far lower total. We went about the chase quite well scoring 21 off the first over and Woods and Roberts putting on 57 for the first wicket, when Woods went for 34 there was a tumble of wickets including 5 ducks but great effort from the lower order and especially Jonny Meardon who scored a brisk 27 including 2 maximums. We fell short and were all out for 142.

This was a great effort from one of the youngest teams I have played with at the club, so huge achievement.
