4XI

The Fourth XI will be playing in Division 7B this year, following our mid-table position last year after a strong finish to the season. We will continue to be the nursery for some talented young cricketers to blossom in, as they learn the intricacies and challenges of adult league cricket.
We are also the home of some more ‘experienced’ campaigners who over the years have taken hundreds of wickets and scored thousands of runs for the club, so it is a great blend of youth and experience, and we all learn from each other. We play to win, but also with a smile (even Paddy sometimes).
So if it is Viv’s never ending chat, fielding in the ‘farmers ring’, playing on the fantastic wicket at Cokethorpe or any other attraction, the Fourth XI is a great team to play for and we look forward to another successful season.
