Sorry everyone but it is still raining in Standlake and shows no signs of brightening up. It's also pretty cold.

We are going to call off junior training tonight and try again next Wednesday.

See everyone soon

Weekend roundup 🗞

A clean sweep this weekend with 3 wins from 3! 💥

On Saturday, the 1sts travelled to a windy but sunny Thame and did well to restrict the home side to 221. The pick of the bowlers was Captain Costley with 5-33 from 8 overs. Ethan Davie once again impressing with the ball with 10 tidy overs and a couple of crucial wickets. In reply, Will Watts looked in fine form again with 47 whilst contributions in the 20’s and 30’s from Ellwood, Warner & Crouch enabled Costley to cap off a fine day with 47* to steer us home with time to spare. Another good win against strong opposition bodes well.

The 2nds also beat Thame. In Standlake, Thame rattled up 288 with good bowling displays from seamers Airey, Armstrong & Chahal. In reply, Downs chased the high total with Woods scoring 61 and a fantastic 92 from Hampshire U18 player Liam Turnbull.

Onto Sunday and wow! A dominant display at Abingdon Road saw us reach the 2nd round of the Voneus Village knockout by defeating The Baldons by 375 runs. Fine centuries from Slatter and Costley with good contributions from Alex Ling and Crouch provided a mammoth 420. Prav Chahal with a 5-fer and B Ling with 3 to dismiss The Baldons for 44. We play Langford away in the next round and would LOVE your support 😃🏏💚

Thank you to everyone who is sharing photos to Claire so that we can share them with you! 📷
