Cropredy won the toss and elected to bat first. On what was a soft wicket this proved a big mistake.
A fine opening spell from Jonny law and Harry Sutton. Sutton stealing the show early doors finished a fantastic spell of bowling taking 3 wickets. Cropredy were never really in control of their innings with wickets falling at regular intervals. Downs bowled Cropredy for 111.
Oxford Downs scored at an aggressive rate from the start. Cropredy managed to dismiss George Sandbach, Will Watts and Wasim Mehmood. Downs proved far too strong knocking off Cropredy’s 111 in 25 overs. Highlight of the Downs batting being a fine knock from Skipper Wasim Mehmood of 52.
